my photo shoots will be done outside of a studio in public. i am doing this because for one its means i can have a wider range of shots from extreme close ups to long shots of my band instead of being restricted by one room inside a studio. also my shots will look more natural and real. i think the audience will enjoy seeing them in different public places.
places i will use will be vary from town centers to farmers fields so that it will reflect the bands music style.

Moodboard
The images of celebrities i have used are all different, they all sing different songs that appeal to many audiences. because my magazine is aimed at multiple audiences then i will feature a star that is similar to ones that are in the charts at the minute.
i have also used a different fonts that could match the genre of a mixed genre music magazine. none of the fonts are suggestive of a particular music genre an neither does my magazine name 'total music.'
in terms of the colour scheme i have decided maybe a light blue because this is a relatively neutral colour to use. the font i am most likely to use on my magazine is the second font down which is a light blue because it is eye catching and good to look at and i think it would look good on a magazine cover.

IPC
IPC Media produces over 60 iconic media brands, with print alone reaching almost two thirds of UK women and 42% of UK men. with these statistics i am confident that with my magazine, aimed at both sexes, will sell as well as the leading magazine. IPC are market leaders in producing magazine and offer a diverse and wide range of magazine so i know that my magazine will fit into IPC.
media theory
my magazine is aimed at young adults. my magazine is aimed at both the male and female audience which i believe will generate more profit as both sexes will be buying my magazine. my magazine will be monthly and priced at a reasonable £4. This would be expensive if it was a weekly magazine, but it isn't so its not too bad. this price is not that bad because 17-21 year olds will be likely to have jobs and they will be able to afford £4 once a month. It will interest both genders because the colours will appeal e.g they will not be pink which may attract girls.
analyzing band images in terms of representation for target audience.
Amy Macdonald is the type of artist that will be in my magazine because she appeals to both males and females which is what my magazine is trying to do.
The C.D cover uses indirect address, this makes the artist look distant from the outside world as if she has something to hide and it makes people buy the C.D so they will listen to the music and find out what she may be hiding.
The poster uses direct address, this is so that when a person walks past it they will take notice of it and read the poster. the colour scheme is neutral and will appeal to both males and females.

the USP (unique selling point) of my product.
my magazine will be the same as many other magazines on the market. it will be a mixed genre of music and the main feature will be on an artist that is big at the moment. but my magazine will be unique from any on the shelfs. my magazine will be unique because it will be aimed both males and females because i dont believe there are enough magazines on the market aimed at both sexes.

Feedback 9.2.11
Joe, your progress here is far too slow. I cannot find evidence that you are working on this in your own time. By now the reseasrch taks should be complete and you chouls be working on your planning tasks. These must be complete by the start of next week in order to start production work. Blogging will not be permitted in lessons form next week. As this is the second warning I have issued regarding lack of work outside of lessons, I will now issue a stage 2 referral.
